Words have the capacity to turn us on. It turns us on because words are related to actions. For instance the word lift is related to the action of hoisting something up. It is weird because it does not tell us that it brings people down also, but that is beside the point here. The point is that lift is an action that is done to the human body, experienced by the human body, experienced by me. Same way with Chadayan. Chadayan refers to the thing with Jada, which is Siva, who smokes up, and hence Chadayan. That is how even non-action words can claim their access to sensuality.

Softcore porn is better than hard core porn because it gives us the option to imagine something. The more you cover the body, the longer is the imagination. Imagination is key to a content life. And how much can we enjoy, really, because the Real comes to us fast and then it kind of fixes us up in a stiff still posture because the real is fixed? You can’t slow down the real. You can’t change the real. You will be fixed in an infinite relation with only Real and hence you wont be able to come out of it and have other relationships. That is why Lacanian Real is tricky.

Chali is a word. Chali is a word that makes a sound when you step in loose mud. Li. That bubble forming within the bowels of the muddy paddyfield and then it comes up and it makes a wave of mud against it when it is pushing against the mud around it which produces a sound which comes to its fruition only in the opening up of it to the outside world when it pops and lets its air mingle with the air in the open world.

Then there is natural world which is all around us and we also are. We are in the natural world. We are always in the world. There is nothing that is outside the world. We are in the natural and imaginative world. There is no outside. SO what are we? What if the world is another object in the arms of a subject?

What about kathaapaathram? Is it paathram to a katha? Is it the subject on which the katha happens? In that sense is katha an object that we can hold on to? What is the materiality of katha?

The materiality of Katha is seen in how it effects us affectively. Bodily.

Actually why should someone be not allowed to protest? Why is it bad to protest against anything?
